Yes, but the question is: Will Nintendo release the games we want to play?
There's a lot more than JUST Oblivion coming out for the Xbox360.
GUN- A western 3rd person action-adventure game that tries to bring alive the old west with a wide, open map.
Dead or Alive 4- One of the greatest fighting games of all time.
Call of Duty 2- A beautiful lookin' WW2 game.
Need for Speed: Most wanted- Eh. It looks FAIRLY gay but they are fun games. Although, they ain't got JACK on the MidnightClub franchise (The only racing game I've felt the need to run out and buy).
Dead Rising- GTA: Zombie. A SH game that looks killer.
Gears of War- Dude, this game looks so damned cool. A killer Milsci-fi story!
Ghost Recond 3: Advanced War Fighter- It's coming out on the prev-gen consoles, too, but it still looks great and it'll be hella better on the 360.
Oh, FFXI is getting a 360 make over and it looks stunning.
Condemned- Looks like a truly frightening experience.
There's also a military game coming out called "DogTag" that has you fighting a coup de'tat that started in your own unit.
xbox 360
A lot of sequels and nothing new or really interesting. That was what held Xbox back last time, and it was one of the problems plaguing later releases on the Ps2. Halo 3, unfortunetly for the system in my eyes, will be the driving point for the new system.
I don't think it's a good idea, but whatever. Personally, I think the game companies should be working on something newer and more innovtive

He could in turn tell you that you need to play more games than morrowind to be a true gamer. Personally, I hate PC games and MMORPGs as well as any other kind of RPG that doesn't let you control the character in battle.
Here what you have to do to be a true gamer. . . . (What I did, anyway)
1) Make the first game you've ever beaten The Legend of Zelda: Ocarine of Time in the 7th grade in a week using no guides whatsoever.
2) Beat Metal Gear Solid 1 AND 2 without a memory card and in one sitting. Oh, and get the good ending.
3) Beat Legend of Zelda: A link to the past in less than one week without using a guide.
4) Get, at the LEAST, to the last stage of Mario Bros. 3.
5) Beat the second disc of Final Fantasy VII in less than 24 hours.
6) Beat Sephiroth. No time limit for this one. Just do it.
7) Collect every main-stream console since the '80s. (I have three Nintendos, A SEGA Genesis, Two Super-Nintendos, A SEGA CD which is the worst console ever, A PS1, a SEGA DreamCast, a N64, NGC, PS2 and Xbox.)
STRIVE to beat every game you buy or rent in one sitting.
9) Get the Stealth Assassin ratings on every stage of Hitman2 in two and a half days.
10) Have at least one "[Using initials for unacceptable word is still not allowed. Bmat] I HATE THIS GAME!" Moment with every game. (I ripped Zelda out of my N64 and threw it across the room, causing me to lose all of my data.)
11) Play Half-Life.
12) Play God of War on SPARTAN difficulty.
13) Play all five Resident Evil games (1, 2, 3: Nemesis, Code veronica and 4)
14) Beat HALO on Legendary. (Use tactics. It's easy. Best Combo is Plasma Pistol and Human Pistol. Kills anything)
and last but not least. . . .
15) Cry when Aeris dies.
Follow these rules, padawans, and you shall be gamers.

I just realized something, after I beat Sephiroth in the eigth grade, every boss as been a real big dissapointment. I was up for THREE DAYS to beat that guy! I didn't sleep for THREE DAYS! I didn't EAT! All I thought about was BEATING SEPHIROTH!
After that, no Boss has given me a real challenge.

There are other paths to greatness, my friend. Frankly, I can't match your skills in the same way I can't kill one of my friends at Goldeneye... ever.
Firstly, learn to use what's at your disposal to its fullest
Secondly, learn to love the classics
Thirdly, understand your systems and your games
Fourthy, attain a moment of pure gaming... when nothing else matters and you just move naturally as if you were the character
Fifthly, keep up to date with the gaming news and know what's going on (especially with the big projects)
there are a few more, but these are basics to keep in mind. Respect is also something that a real gamer has. Respect for his fellow gamer who can kick his ass and respect for those who are making a genuine try to play the game for the fun of it... not being taken in by the flamers, trolls and spammers who seem to plague the online world

Everytime someone new comes in and says "That's a big pile of Crock! I should slap you with my kock! It's as hard as a rock! It pleases all the ladies on the Block!" I think of 1) Eminem fan and 2) Jay and Silent Bob: Strike Back.

FAMILY GUY....IT ROCKS OUT LOUD.
"They are a curious thing, these emotions. How they fly in the face of logic, how they overrule the most basic instincts. Because, in the measure of time, in the measure of humanity, we sense those self-indulgent instincts to be a weakness, we sense that the needs of the community must outweight the desires of the one. Only when we admit to our failures and recognize our weaknesses can we rise above them. Together." -Drizzt Do'Urden
