Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Yes, this game kicks ass. For those of you "Uninitiated" people, Metal Gear Solid is a series of games where you play Solid Snake, a lone goverment operative for Fox-Hound who specializes in Infiltration Missions and On-Site weapons procurment.
The story this time around has Snake taking on a Russian Colonel circa 1964. You are sent on a mission, entitled "Virtuous Mission", to Infiltrate the Colonel's base and rescue a nuclear scientist named Sokolov.
The gameplay itself centers around Gun Play and survival. If you get shot, cut, burned or poisoned you have to perform a field operation to remove the bullet or sowe up the wound. You also have to eat. Unlike the other iterations, the are no miracle "Rations". Here, you rely solely on stamina and time to regain your strength. To raise your stamina you must hunt down animals and eat them. You must also use Camo to conceal yourself in the jungle.
Simply put, this is a great game worth checking out. Wonderful cut scenes. Wonderful story (It gets deeper than what I told you, of course). Wonderful game.

It's hard to decide. But I settled on the original Metal Gear Solid. It still is the best storyline of any of the Metal Gear games.

Snake Eater, however, was immensely fun.
