Yep. I ended up getting the Ankheg Plate for him, and so I now have him and Jaheira in that armor, with Minsc in Full Plate and Boo in Miniature Giant Space Hamster fur, my character in the Shadow Armor (Studded Leather +2), Dynaheir in the Knave's robe and Imoen in the Adventurer's Robe and Golden Girdle (she's pretty protected there...). I was able to finish the Basilisks there on that location by getting the help of that ghoul to be the target of the stony gaze and I just peppered them to take them down. I had to do it quickly so as to get as much use out of Korax the Ghoul as possible before his dire charm wore off, but I was able to kill all but one that way, and finished off the last with two fireballs from my mages and a Protection from Petrification scroll use to allow me to survive long enough to arrow and Magic Missile it into a grave.
I am now just finishing off the few other places that I've not fully explored/completed up till now (for the few items and extra experience to be had) and then I'll go to Cloakwood. What would you suggest as far as the Farm area with the Ankhegs? Do you suggest that I wait to do that until after the Cloakwood, or do you think that the stuff you can get there from that area would make it worth trying it before to make surviving the CW easier? It's strange. I've had this game for years and I've never actually completed the game! I got to the end fight with one game and couldn't win it so after about 10 or so tries, I gave up on it. Well, I'm at it again....

You mean you don't KNOW?? Well, it is AC 0 with a 50 % bonus vs magic, cold, heat and electricity. In fact, vs electricity the armor causes immunity. However, even with its small size, the armor is quite heavy, along the lines of 90 pounds or so, which is why Minsc has to carry Boo (Boo is like Minsc - not quite strong enough).

Nice, but not as nice as the Big Metal Unit in Throne of Bhaal that you get by collecting all of the Easter Eggs from the three games; Golden Pantaloons(BG), Silver Pantaloons(SOA) and Bronze Pantaloonettes (TOB).

That's the Bronze Pantalets. I know. I've just never had the chance to progress to BG2 because of my previous inability to progress past the end of 1. I just couldn't win that last battle! *sigh* I do have the Golden Pantaloons in my possession, though, and I shall be transferring my character to #2 when the opportunity presents itself...

I'm currently in the middle of a new BG game, this time with a Paladin. I figure next time I play it'll be with a mage, strictly for the challenge. Currently I have myself, Imoen, Minsc, Dynaheir, Jahera and Khlaid in my party and am trying to find the one guy that butchered his family in Nashkel.

That's cool. I'm currently playing Sacred, and am very close (I believe) to the end of it. Been pretty decent so far. After I finish that, I need to do a bunch more in BG itself and then go on to Candlekeep and then come back to BG again. I've been through it once before, but gosh, it's pretty involved to try to beat Sarevok! I still haven't accomplished it. I only attempted it with my first character about 15 times before my comp hard drive crashed and destroyed my first game. I'm back, but I did set it aside again... but... after Sacred is what I plan.... *grins as he starts to think about procrastination and then decides to do it later*

Yeah, pretty involved game, I personally prefer BGII and Throne of Bhaal, but this game is just as deserving as they. I've had to set the game aside temporarily because of other things taking presedence, but I plan on continuing from where I left off (Finished the mines and my party now consists of Myself, Imoen, Minsc, Dynaheir, Jahera and Khalid) when I can. Khalid's doing good in my party this time, which is surprising. I remember during my first or second time through I almost let him die, although later decided against it. He just never really worked before, but is now.

It did not even gain my interest.

It gained my intrest, yet it was really short in my opinion.
