Posted By: Magus Feb 09, 2005 - 01:10 pm | | I thought Ho-Tep was a title given to pharoahs? I know to double space for manuscripts. But, writing for myself at the moment, I prefer 1.5.
No Magus, Hotep means in peace. Imhotep was the Great Pyramid's architect though. I can say a few things in Ancient Egyptian, AKA Kemetic, but I find myself looking up a lot during my writing because as you might guess I use it in rare cases in my novels.

It varies from publisher to publisher, but Courier and Times New Roman are most widely accepted.
Posted By: Magus Feb 10, 2005 - 03:22 pm | | Ahhhh... gotta love Bubba Ho-Tep... up until now that's where I learned the meening of my one word Egyption vocabulary.
Magus, I've got lots of them! I learned most of it from reading the Book of the Dead with the transliterations (pronunciation of the word in English). I can read some hieroglyph, but it's much easier to learn the way to pronounce the meaning of the glyph than it is to learn the glyphs themselves even though the exact pronunciation is under scholarly debate. MDMonkey, Most want Courier from what I've experienced but that doesn't mean you should do your homework on each agent/publisher you approach and give them exactly what they want. Make sure you check their site for their submission policy, it will usually tell you and if it doesn't then you can safely go with the norm.
