I have a question Bmat. How did you decide to organize all the writing stuff? I like it, but I am just curious.

I feel this new form is helpful in that it makes navigation through the Writers' Forum easier.

In the previous index, the page with the list of threads took ages to download on browsers - not IE, NC, MSN and a couple more only.

When a research was attempted regarding a Writers' Workshop, it failed. Only because there were possibly relevant posts here and there in so many topics and subtopics, actually.

Archiving would merely bury worthwhile posts. Not many resort to archives, I have found.

More than one subtopics were created as a result of the long array of Writer's Discussion Subtopics, as in the case of swearing and vulgar words substituted by wildcards (asterisks and such), where subtopics were created perhaps to comment on the same issue, adding to the problem.

I am sorry this post is long itself but it is only to mention a few reasons why this shipshaping of the Forum seems a good idea.

Hi, Ding_man.

It was brought to my attention that loading the topics in the Discussion forum was taking too long. Also it was getting very hard to locate topics in Discussion. The new groupings should make it easier to find the topics. It will take me a while to get everything transferred, and if anyone notices something placed in the wrong category please let me know. The choices of group names and categories were suggested by a member.
