Ok, maybe it was four years. Maybe I was thinking of WW1. My bad.

If it was WWI you were thinking of, your comment would make more sense, timing-wise.

Hey, iz, what was the battle in the War of 1812 where the army had to borrow the New York militia uniforms? I remember my military history prof talking about it, and how the British/Canadians were surprised, thinking they were only up against militia, and the commander, on realizing it was not a militia unit, exclaimed, "My God, those are regulars!" It was a big victory for the army, and is the reason that the West Point cadets wear those New York militia uniforms to this day. I just can't recall the battle, but it was along the border with Canada.

There's a lot about history that I should read up on. I'm not sure, MerleZ. That would add even more weirdness to an all ready bizarre moment in history.

P.S. I meant WW2, but the "2 years" part was WW1 I guess.
