Its just great to have my friend Odrade back hehe
All this mushy ness kind-off detracts from the image I bet everyone had of me lol.
I know I am not everyone most favourite of forum members hehe

Hyper!!!!!!!!!!!!
you even created a board for me.
I feel so special. Well, how is everyone here? I am doing okay, but i haven't been reading as much in general as i used to. More busy lately. I am looking at that new Tad Williams book, maybe sometime soon.
Thanks for welcoming me back everyone, but especially Hyperion

You're welcome Odrade
Just good to have you back
I have never read any of Tad WIlliams's work, what genre does he write in?
Hyperion

Yep. Hyper's still active...
Tad Williams writes fantasy. His novels are all QUITE large, and his first one was "The Dragonbone Chair". I've not yet gotten his second one (I think it's called "The Stone of Farewell" ), but I do have book two of his Green Angel Tower duology.

Aldan, that series has four books. He also writes sci-fi, his big series there is called Otherland. I also have a hardback copy of a collection of comic books he first started, then let others take over. Plus, he writes short stories, there is one about a cat, i forget the name, and one having to do with vampires. I have these two , but i haven't looked at them for a while.
it is funny, I started liking his stuff a while ago. But within the last year, i have found out that he lives not too far from me, about 60 miles, has a software/computer thing he does, having to do with fantasy, art games and such, and one other thing, i think having to do with starting writers, but i could be wrong on that.
So Hyper, he writes both fantasy and sci-fi. Oh, and i forgot, he has a new book out, fantasy, but i just lost the name of it inside the big set of empty caverns i call my brain. sorry!

'drade, approximately where are you located? I'm in the LA area in SoCal (actually in the OC, but I want to avoid using that as a reference, since that'd make people think I'm rich - which would be a major crackpipedream, or something like that...).

OK Odrade...
I will check out a book ort wo of his see if I like him

I am in the SF BAy Area. And out of the 7 million ppl who live up here, i don't think i have to worry about being hunted down. Williams used to live in Marin County, home to the Grateful Dead, Skywalker Ranch, numerous computer geniuses and other assorted types. I heard that Pleaston was the base for his comic book company, but i am not 100% sure on that

I knew you were in Cali, just not where. I don't exactly care specifically where you are located, because we don't really know each other. From your writing style and other things, though, I could somehow tell that you were a Californian. I've had the curse/blessing of living in about half the states of this great nation and have chosen California as the place to live. I loved Chicago when I lived there, but was sick about 6 months out of each year (and I was there two years), so I chose not to stay. For those who can become acclimated to the weather, though, Chicago is a wonderful city of quite nice people (for the most part, of course), with a more friendly attitude than that of defensive Californians. That's just one example. I'm not really familiar with the Bay Area, though, since I've not lived there. I've lived in Stockton/Fresneck, Sacramento and several other smaller nuggets up in NoCal and Central California.
Oh, and I think you mean Pleasanton...
Posted By:
Aldan, you know that is what i meant!!!!
Posted By:
I know Stockton, kinda. not like i lived there, but i always thought Stockton as the part of California that nebraska landed in. Chunk of the midwest plopped in CA.
Now i am learning, with age and experience, that most of that Valley section is like that. It is almost like they are embarrassed to live in California. We are kinda goofy out here, we have many many quirks out here on the West Coast. Everyone i know who lived here then moved says the people in California, heck the atmosphere in California is different. And you know what??? I am so dang proud of it!!! I love it here. There is so much to do and see, things to try and places to go. i could go on, and on and on. But i will stop. I think CA is a great place to live!
Posted By:
Amen. It IS a great place to live, as long as you realize that many others in other areas love their living spaces and don't want to be looked down upon for their hurricanes/tornadoes/floods/ blizzards/other natural disasters. Many people think that Californians are snobbish for our luck in living here, and many are. Personally, I try hard not to act that way, and I hope any other 'fornians do the same... please?!?

My Dad says California is a great place... To be from.
I actually like it there. But right now we live in Maine. Cold.

Two years ago our band went to San Fransisco for their trip. I, unfortunately, was not there at the time. But my sister went and the airline there misplaced her heart.
Bad joke, I know.
