I still remember school, and with fond memories. I still have all my report card (Good and Bad) What grades are you getting, or what grades did you get? (This doesn't have to be a personal topic) But remember, if you don't answer, that means I assume you received "F's."

Hmm. I remember the good and the bad as well. I was terrible in grade 4/5, but since grade 6, I haven't gotten lower than a "B" in any of my classes. In fact, in Grade seven, I managed to obtain strait "A's" throughout the year. As of now, I have 100% in Concert Band, 100% in Jazz Band, 100% in Planning, 97% in Science, 92% in English, and 85% in Socials Studies, though this is only my first semester. Next semester I have easier courses (Bands, English, French, PE, Math)

100% in Jazz Band???

In our school Jazz Band is an extra Curricular activity.

Well, in our school it's after school as well, but it counts as a course on your report card.

Really? Does it count for your GPA? That would be pretty awsome!

Yep. It's a great way to raise your average, seeing as it's almost a garuanteed "A," since students who don't get an "A," aren't allowed in the course.

K & 2-4 (skipped 1st grade): all As, perfect honor roll student.
5: Flunked it the first time, aced it the second time.
6-8: mostly all As.
9-11: pretty much either an A or an F in every class...about 50% As, 50% Fs. Dropped out halfway through 11th (after doing 13 chapters of Chemistry in one week to get caught up and bring my grade up from an F to an A).
GED: 355 (a high score, 225 was passing)
13-14: mostly As; dropped out of 3rd semester of college.

There's a pattern there, but I'll leave it to others to psychoanalyze.

As a side note, my attendance record was similar. In High School I distinctly remember a time when I was going to class only a couple of times a week, sometimes only once. During that time, I was still acing Advanced Placement Algebra II. There was a preppy girl in my class who had perfect attendance but got a lower grade than me (though still an A or high B) and was so upset... I felt bad for her. She probably had to work harder at it too; algebra came easy to me.
Of course, now she's probably got a much easier job making five times more pay than I do.

I don't like math. It comes harder to me than other subjects and I find it the least attractive. I took Algebra as an advanced class in 8th grade. I qualified, then, for honors geomatry but my dad told me not to take it so I could get a better grade in Geomatry. It was the exact same thing as the honors class, but they got the weighted grade for it! Grrr...

For a good deal of grade school we had a slightly different grading scale. I'd like to say we had it until fourth grade, or maybe just until third, but I can't be sure.

We had only three grades: S, (something else tht I can't remember) and N. The S was for superior and the N was Needs Improvement. I don't remember what he middle one one, but it was basically saying you were doing O.K.

But that was then. I much prefer

"interms"? Is that like your version of midterms?

We have six report cards. Two interms and four real report cards. Interms come a couple weeks into the term to let you know how you're doing, before real reports come out.

Grade School: They didn't give letter grades at our school until third grade. I was in the GATE program all through grade school. Got A's every quarter through elementary, jr. high, and high school, with the exception of a B+ in fourth grade PE.

I'm in college now, and I'm acing everything except Calculus. I have a low B in that class.

hey magus, i think we could quite possibly be in the same kind of program thingy.... i took spectra (advanced) in 8th and honors Geometry in 9th. i did fine. now im in honors Algebra2. urgh! ok, as far as grades go... ive never gotten anything lower than a b on my report card. ever.

Same with me. Actually, I've never received lower than 82%, but I suppose I should explain. Here, an A is 86%-100%, and a B is 74%-86%, though apparently; from people I've met who moved here from the States, classes are much harder here, so it sort of balances each other out.

This is the general grading scale my school uses:

A: 100-90%

B: 89-80%

C: 79-70%

D: 69-60%

F: 59-0%

But, in my chemistry class our grading scale is the same as yours. In another class they get an even easier grading scale by two points, different teacher, though.

I have a 4.0 GPA and I always have had, except for 5th grade, when I got a D in math. I am like my uncle, who has really great intelligence.

...

That didn't make any sense, did it?

My grades varied depending on the subjects. In those days I was too busy hanging out with the musically inclined, and an outside drama group to care about anything else.
