Do you think you can be cyrogenically frozen and brought back to life in the future?

Yes, and I have seriously considered cryonics.

While it is by no means certain that the rejuvination technology will ever exist, it seems plausible.

I wouldn't count on it.

Eventually Yes, but not with todays current technology.

I mean think about it for a second, we freeze sperm and eggs for later use with couples who cannot conceive naturally - for what-ever reason.

As to if we can bring somebody back to life after they die massive trauma or a nasty disease, well that will be a little harder, as we don't just have to freeze the body, we also have to regenerate the dead and damaged cells and tissue, but I think it will be possible eventually.

But I reckon eventually we will be able to prolong life into life times spanning centuries rather than just decades.

Nanotechnology will eventually help us with the rebuilding and fixing of damaged cells within the body, computers and IT technology will eventually lead us down the path of storing digital copies of human mental states, and so on.

So yes I reckon eventually we will be able to freeze a human and then revive them at a later date.

But I don't think we are close to that as of right now, it's going to take some time.

I think it would be possable, even plausable, but only to an extent. And then it could bring forth a lot of political problems as well. How will a person adapt to a culture that has dramatically chanaged (legally, socially, etc...) from what was once known? I think we'd see a high level of suicide and substance abuse from these people not being able to cope with their new enviroment.

Also there's the issue of education. They will be outdated by others who grew up in this time and are more adapted to it. The education of a man 100 years ago is practically obsolete today. The same would go, if not even more so, in the next 100 years.

Yes... Not only is there what Magus said, but also who needs to live for two centuries? Many people have accomplished a lot in their lifetimes. Yeah, it's hard to accept death, but at least others will be born to take our places. They will be fresh, prepared to take on the world... for a natural lifetime.

Even should we do this, how do we decide who deserves to live to be 90+ or not? If we have useless people wanting to live for two hundred years while good people suffer for it, this could be a serious issue. I think 150 years would be the max at any point in the future, and beyond that would be completely ridiculous. Humans just aren't meant to live for that long. If we were, it would have to be due to a few geological days and not our own fear of death. Just think how humans would waste the most important years of their lives if they saw death as being something 150 years away. "Oh, I'm only 50 years old... I still have a hundred years to get rich and raise kids..." That's exactly what I hate about elves.

We're back to where we were.

LOL

Always with the elves, Queen Ehlana. But I see your point cleary and agree with it. Our mortality is what makes every moment of our lives so splendous, so beautiful. It's irreplaceable.

With people living extended lives, the world would be over-populated.The world is in eneough of a mess with the environment and a selfish greedy society as it is.No,I wouldn't want to come back!!!
