Scifi and Fantasy Forum: Speculation: "Aliens" are Fairies
"Aliens" are Fairies

I think these "little white men" -- lets call 'em LWMs -- are actually fairies. Many thousands of people claimed to have seen or been obducted by "little men in green", or little green men -- LGMs -- for thousands of years, no exaggeration! Is it a coincidence that the LGMs have been replaced with LWMs? Actually people STILL see LGMs in some countries. LGMs live in the ground and in the water, in the sky, just like the UFOs of the LWNs. Hmm... I think the LWNs ARE LGMs, and just like LGMs they're with us all the time but we don't see them. Their UFOs are renown for appearing out of thin air. The LGMs were well known for their "magic" and obducting, appearing out of thin air, putting "trances" on people, which translates well for how we percieve the LWMs. The only thing I can't figure out...why have they gone nudist?
Posted By: Aslan Jun 08, 2004 - 06:07 am | | Well, I think that Fairies are Angels. So if Fairies are Aliens, then doesn't that mean that Angels are Aliens??? Cool.
Posted By: Hyperion Jun 08, 2004 - 09:40 am | | On subjects like this, and subjects of similar debate, IE Aliens, Abduction, biblical stories depicting gods or angles flying across the sky on chariots with wings of fire, and so on and so forth, I like to give just a little credit to those that are claiming to have seen such sights, or written down their experiences in texts we now read. Because nine times out of ten they have seen or experienced something out of the ordinary I would reckon. At the very least I like to give people the benefit of the doubt at first and give some credit to their stories rather than fobbing them of as delusional or crazy types, as some do. I rather lean towards the theory of different dimensions rather than ftl travel and beings travelling great distances to come and see us on our planet. Although I am not saying that it isn't possible for other entities to come those great distances to see/study us, -whatever-, I just feel that different dimensions makes more sense. But then again I am, as some here would already no, rather fond of M-Theory or String Theory as it's more popularly known as, which goes along way towards explaining the possibilities of other dimensions in it's theories, along with many others. Hyperion The Despised.
He he. I too believe that these beings are from another dimension. Faeryland, it has been called, or Dreamworld, the Unconsious World...

Posted By: MrB Jun 11, 2004 - 02:07 pm | | What about the pixies, lets not forget about those little rascals. Do the Pixies actually come from Pixieland, where all the little pixies dance and sing and gambol in the woods (horses, dogs, those pesky pixies will bet on anything!)...
No, they come from West World.
Posted By: Aldan Jun 11, 2004 - 03:37 pm | | Nope. They are a band that recently got back together...
Faeryland is here, and we are with it always on some level. It is the Unconscious World to us, as we do not see it with the physical eye. It exists between the psyical world and the spirit world, yet Fairies, or *Faeries* as I like to call them, can move into the other two realities. They can be psyical, yes, and roam about the wood. There are three distinct kinds of Faeries: Sky, Water and Ground Faeries. The most common are Ground Faeries, and these consist of Brownies, Hobgoblins, Leprechauns, arguably Demons, and many others, and of the ones mentioned they divide into many sub-catagories. Different Faery races take on many different chracteristics and assume different sets of magics, as do Faery tribes -- called ferrishes -- and individual Faeries. Some are demonic, others beautiful. The things ALL Faeries have in common are: 1.They exist between the realities mentioned above. 2.They are magical. 3.They are shy of Humans, but not always of individuals, and children least of all. 4.They are mischievous by nature, yet are far more honost and true than we are. 5.Even the kindest of Faeries DARE NOT be crossed by Humans. 6.They are small, no taller than three feet. (Unless they shape-shift, which some can do.) 7.They are almost always true to their word, and also because they will not lie, are very careful about what they say to Humans.
Posted By: MrB Jun 16, 2004 - 02:36 am | | And just to add a couple of extra comments to that list Neuro... 8. They are complete fantasy and do not exist. and finally, which I think is probably the most fundamentally important topic... 9. They are complete fantasy and do not exist.
I am rather convinced by Mr. Carl Sagan's argument, that angels, fairies, aliens, and elves are all archetypal. If you think about it, all of these different types of creatures share the same qualities that neuro listed above. You could easily replace the word "fairy" with "alien" and you would have the same sort of list. For example: 1) Aliens exist between earth and space (certainly two different realities) 2) They are magical (their "science" is unexplained and appears magical) 3) They are shy of humans, except those they abduct for experiments 4) They are curious by nature, though they may easily know more truths than we suspect 5) Do not cross an alien. You'll end up like Sigourney Weaver. 6) They are small, child-sized (little green men?) or tall and lithe (like elves?) .... I really could keep going, but I hope I have made some sort of point. The fact that aliens and angels share these same qualities, even physical description, doesn't necessarily mean that aliens ARE angels (or that fairies are aliens, or angels are fairies, and so on). It might mean that we created these creatures to satisfy a need we have to believe in something greater than ourselves. I didn't explain that well, but I'm afraid it's a rather complicated subject. Try "The demon-haunted world," by the aforementioned Sagan. It specifically covers the apparent similarity between angel visitations and alien visitations. I do not think Sagan was at all concerned with fairies, or elves, but hopefully the reader can make the appropriate parallels.
I thinks that angels ARE Fearies, myself. When people discribe seeing them, they sound more like Faeries than "human spirits from heaven" in their discription.
Posted By: Lessien Jun 20, 2004 - 03:23 am | | I think that that theory is going to fall..Very quickly... LWMs would not fit with the LGMs.. Where is the connection between Green and White?
There are MANY different kinds of Faeries, some with brown fur, some with black skin, etc. These LWMs would be a kind of superior Faery race. As for the GREEN, obviously most Faeries wear green, probally to hide themselves from humans. This wouln't work when piloting a silver spaceship.
Hold up, the "superior" faery race is white? Do they wear little swazticas?
Well hi, I'm a huge fan of the pixies, and you know what, Pixieland EXISTS! I don't care what you scientific materialist string theorist people say, Pixieland is REAL. I happen to be a cosmologist, and a space-freak, though many of you with say that those two are the same. I've seen pixieland though my newly designed telescope; Hubble Junior. And as to the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter, well, I've recently found that it's actually a giant ring of SOCKS, yes, that's right, SOCKS. These were of course the ones that didn't make the quest into Tom Hanks' washing machine, but some may be from when he lost them up in space when he was starring in the Apollo 13 movie. Well, I hope more of you will join my search for the unknown. Caitlin.
Ohh...ha ha...oh, ha ha...An insecure never-believer is mocking the believers again...oh, ha ha...what an original guy. You must have LOADS of personality, guy. Say, you should take a closer look at history. Civilization SPRANG from spiritualism. Shamanism, witchcraft -- yep, all that "idiot dreamer" stuff you no doubt love to mock with your CUNNING asides. Yep. Anyone who believes that evolution, for example, is just what happens because it DOES is a moron, and MUST believe that you can throw a bowl of ink onto a pile of paper and create a NOVEL! Hey HOUSTAN, I have two eyes, and what do I see? Oh...oh...It's a telescope and a compass, but where's the mind behind it? Oh, now I'M being cunning!
Well, I'm Irish, and that obviously means that I believe in everything - yeah, EVERYTHING. Especially the little green leprechauns (no, really, they must come from somewhere!). And I have a VERY open mind on everything (including the sock theory) so don't call me an unbeliever. Actually, darwin's theory does leave out the pixies, socks, faeries and other such life forms that inhabit our dear old planet. Hubble Junior may need a little maintenance at the moment, so I'll get on my spacesuit and fly up there to check it. Caitlin x P.S. Neurolanis, you spelled HOUSTON incorrectly.
