It's not just a theory. The only realy important thing to realise here is that our instruments of detection and measurement are improving, thus the range of energy we can detect and hopefully use is increasing.

Now we just need to find a military application for this energy and we're golden.

The application is there.Relying on petroleum is a military liability in itself.

I thought that Zero Point Energy couldn't be used to generate energy for use, but I hope I'm wrong and the article is right.

I had actually come up with an SF RPG idea of a FTL drive called the "Zippy Drive" (from "ZPE", or Zero Point Energy), just to steal a convenient name from science.

Yeah, just one of the many wonders that up-until-now, we hadn't a clue existed.

That's why I always say science needs no boundaries.

You guys should chekcout this on-going Nasa experiment/mission.

It is smashing the boundaries/laws for want of a better term/word, that our scientists of the past set / namely einsteins stuff.
