I was browsing the net researching about UFO's and I came across this page that had like a bestiary of different types of aliens that supposively exist some within the galaxy and some said to already be here. I don't know who wrote this article, it was very lengthly and had a lot of entries and it was very descriptive but that's not the point. I came across this one entry that described a reptilian race of aliens, highly evolved decendents of the dinosaurs. It mentioned that they are hateful towards humans and hold a grudge against them for being the dominant race on earth. Apparently, they weren't too happy when thier ancestors were wiped out by an astroid and they have plotted to takeover the planet in the distant future... Most of you will probably think this is BS but it does make you think. Wouldn't you think that the decendents of a once dominant race would hold some sort of rudge against a present ruling race such as us humans who have trashed and polluted the planet that was once lot more beautiful than it was before?
I'm more concerned about the apathetic Insectoids. They are everywhere and can survive a nuclear blast (or astroid impact).
Some think that there is no reason for the Reptilians to redominate since they have never lost dominance. All the way back to the garden of Eden, the image of the dominant reptile -- from snakes to dragons -- has always been ubiquitous.

I havn't read it though I have heard a few peaple talking about it. One individual claimed that they are working with the Mormons among others. supposedly they appear human though they need human blood to retain this appearance. So I asked, Does this mean that if I start turning into a lizard, all that I need do is drink some blood? His eyes bugged. He takes this very seriously. Hmmm,an older brother once warned that if I stayed in the bath too long I'd turn into a frog.I looked at my toes which were beginning to prune and jumped, it was happening! If mammals evolved from reptiles does this make us kin? Advanced fish even? Complex virus?
It is interesting how reptiles have such impressive regenerative properties yet their evolution seems to be somewhat limited. Actually, I guess adaptation and evolution are pretty much the same thing, and reptiles have definitely adapted to almost every environment. Perhaps they are ideally suited for this environment and their evolution has ceased. Avids are also decendants of the reptile, I was shocked when I learned this in 5th grade science class. I'm not worried about them taking over because I heard they fear cold. I always have CO2 fire extinguisher near by, if they come at me I give them a blast in the face. Take that reptaliod. Top of the food chain mofo! Humans = #1. I welcome a battle between reptaliods and humans.

Lets say we reach a utopian perfection with everyone being nice.No more soldiers, armies, war etc. Then lets suppose that this peace persists for a long while and we forget how to fight. This eden planet then gets invaded, we are a passive sentient food source. This possibility could imply the importance of maintaining our skills, testing our abilities on each other.Low intensity sparring within our society could prove vital. Do we have any such laboratories in our inner cities? Is this how system managers think? I'll go back a little and propose that this peacefull planet attains higher degrees of mental or spiritual growth to the point that we can perceive, anticipate and deal with any such approaching invasion before it reaches us.Maybe even move the solar system or planet to another location. My inner peacenik smiles. My inner warhawk argues for bloodsport. They get together for some paintball.
My friends and I were discussing this on a smaller scale the other day. Do you think that the rivalries between little league teams in small towns can be traced to something deeper? The rights of adulthood and the need to be a warrior for your tribe? Once a year on Halloween all of the young men in my old town would collect as many eggs as possible and have an all out brutal egging war. Nothing was sacred, we would egg not only eachother, but the cops as well. They came to expect it every year. Thinking back, it was kind a frightening event, but I see parallels in the tomato fight in Bunal, Spain and the orange fight in Ivrea, Italy. These events sharpen the innate warrior skills in those who partake yet are non-lethal (for the most part).

Posted By: Aldan Mar 26, 2004 - 09:52 am | | Well, baseball is something that ADULTS will usually take much more seriously than the kids will, although after playing for a year or two under the parent(s)'s guidance, the child will begin acting the same way. These parents are the sort who start going after a coach or an umpire because of some "insult" to their future Babe Ruth. *Aldan sighs and shakes his head* Living vicariously through their children... *Aldan shakes his head again*
Posted By: iamume Mar 26, 2004 - 07:20 pm | | I maintain that all sports are ritual combat.Solo athletics may be excepted,Though through these we compete with ourselves improving our skills develop ourselves and become fit mates. Our animal relations as a matter of mating engage in ritual combat in order to show which is the better sire hopfully without inflicting serious wounds. The winner gets the girl, trophy, ambrosia,or whatever stated reward. Warfare also, before we attached political or religious significance to it,was a matter of reproduction.Territory gained for ones family or tribe, rivals eliminated, women won(captured or raped),children produced. If war is to be overcome then the circumstances which encourage it must also be overcome. If we become faced with a reptilian threat, then we must either defeat them or teach them that they have more to gain through cooperation. The alterative is defeat. I'm not saying peace at any price.I detest this argument for war.As if the only peace that is worthwhile is that of the military victor. Yes some means of attaining peace are worse than war, this does not mean that after making token gestures at peacefull resolution that the only alternative is war. I'm not one to suggest we welcome an invasion and treat them as guests give them everything and become their vassals.Nor would I encourage appeasement. You can have this planet if we are given the technology for settling on Mars would not be recommended.
