Those "mythically upright individuals" are not so mythically upTIGHT. Sad. I'm guessing that those people are crabby because they are missing something that would be precious IF they had it. That thing is a soul.

I get a kick out of when, Including myself, tolerant peaple scream at and condemn the intolerant for being intolerant.

How uptight can the mellow become?

The whole concept of soul currency is problematic.
does this imply a choice of soulbanks?

Why even make a deposit?

HOW CAN YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF?!?
You hate yourself. You should stand yourself against a brick wall and then walk 20 paces away and take up your single-shot weapon of choice and aim it at yourself standing up against said brick wall and then use it. Then replace your single-shot weapon of choice and go back to doing what you enjoy in the company of others.

Here's one that will boil your noggin.

Suppose you are standing at the back of a train travelling at the speed of light, and you walk towards the front, are you then travelling faster than the speed of light?

Now, do you know what that song was really about?

Well, I thought it was about the suicide of a good person that led the other people around him, who weren't as good, to wake up and become better people as as result. If that's not it, then what is it really about?

It was actually very specifically about a guy who was a politician in an eastern U.S. state who was caught doing something he shouldn't have, and when he attended the press conference he set up to announce his resignation, while all the cameras were rolling, he pulled out a pistol and put it under his chin and blew the top of his head off. On live tv. The band was ironically expressing their feelings about this.

lol - I'm sorry, I seem to be missing something here. Why, exactly, does that make it NOT a twisted reference? Not a lot of healthy suicide songs out there.

Now, about the faster than light thing (See, I wander back eventually...)

A number of years ago (2 maybe?) I read about some experiments that involved trying to develop StarTrek-like transporter technology. I don't remember much about it other than that it involved beams of light and they were able to "move" one light beam however they were doing it and get it to another location faster than the same strength beam of light just being turned on and getting there naturally - essentially moving faster than light, in effect anyway.. This was just a couple paragraphs in some science journal, and I can't remember which. I never saw anything else about it. In fact, I may not even be remembering the details right, but if this sounds at all familiar to anyone, I would be really interested to know whatever happened with that.
