Hiya Sindatur.. ya ole buzzard, I mean owl! :P

OK people... here's a hard one for ya! I need help, and NO.. not that kind of help!

Trying to remember the name of a 1950's scifi movie. Best I can remember the plot went sorta like this:

Five people, two women and 3 men, were picked up by an alien spacecraft. I believe one woman was british and the other chinese. The men were, one soviet soldier, an American newspaper man and a college professor at a US university, he was an older man and not originally from the US. Anyway... the five were told by this alien race that they were going to be given a means to destroy all human life on Earth, this because the aliens were going to do it if the humans didn't and the aliens way of doing it wouldn't be as "human". The aliens gave each of the humans a small compact case, just big enough to fit cupped in your hand. Inside were 3 or 4 capsules (pills). I believe the cases could only be opened by the mind waves of the human that it was given to. To launch the capsules, all you did was say the longitude and latitude of the area to be effected. Can't remember how many capsules it took to blanket the Earth, but I believe only 6 were needed. They only had a certain number of days to decide if they would do it before the aliens were going to do it themselves. What made matters worse was that the aliens broadcast to the entire Earth the names of the five people and where they were from.

The chinese girl killed herself and her case not found..

The soviet soldier was taken into custody by the soviet state..

The English woman flew to America and met up with the American newspaper man and together they located the professor/scientist..

End of the story... it was a test, given to the humans by the aliens. Seems the capsules could be altered in a manner that when they were launched they would only kill those humans who were wanting to do harm to other humans. Seems the soviet soldier was forced by his evil commander to open his case and he was saying the longitude and latitudes to blanket the North American continent just as the professor/scientist finished covering the whole earth with the combined capsules of the three people in America. All the "bad" people disappeared off the face of the earth and all the "good" people lived happily ever after, the aliens let them join the galactic league or something..

DANG... long post! Now ya don't need to see the movie! Not that I can see the movie again since I can't remember the NAME OF IT! :P

... help me???

Classic robot movie, most famous:
THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL

Classic space exploration movie, most famous:
THE FORBIDDEN PLANET

Classic sea exploration movie, most famous:
VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA
AT 7, 8, or 9 years old I floated in the air
a tablespoon that looked like the submarine
in the TV series.
Like STAR TREK, STAR(FISH) TREK movie seaquels
is something I like to sea in the future.

Classic voyage spaceship:
STAR TREK - THE ENTERPRISE
I like the haunting insect-like sounds
of the ship's controls, somewhat missing
in today's STAR TREK - VOYAGER with it's
single mobile phonelike bleep-bleep.

This is not exactly a movie but still considered a classic, 2001 a Space odyssey and 3001: The final odyssey. Both of them has always been my favorite books, they're possible old enough? to be considered classics but they paint a realistic future that could happen.

I just wanted to let out my thoughts on those particular two books.
