can somebody tell me the deal with outer limits it seems everytime there is a conflict the humans lose

Yeah. It's very similer to The Twilight Zone, with surreal settings/happenings and ironic endings. I think it's due to that irony why it occurs. It makes a better ending, a more sentimental one I meen, as well as a more irtonic one. You just naturally assume human's would win.

But there are exceptions to that. I've seen several where humans win, when put to the test. Or would you consider telekinetic woman not human?
