WOOOOHOOOO! John and Aeryn "recreating"! Life is good!

Now that THAT's out of my system...

Anyone notice the very uncomfortable look on Aeryn's face when John was jumping down Rygel's throat to "stay out of Aeryn's stuff"? I don't think she's too keen on the relationship part of the deal at all. I have a sneaking feeling that Tayln Crichton won't make it back to Moya so she can start over with Moya Crichton without the sex baggage.

Awesome ep for the most part. Aeryn's mom turned out to be a major bitch, didn't she? Good grief PK's are a messed up society! Kills her lover to get back in good graces, and now she'll kill her daughter too? I almost hope the Scarrans will wipe them out.

The Colartas were cool. Bounty hunters extrodinaire. I wonder how hard it would have been to kill them on a planet with normal gravity instead of one that was making their hearts burst just from walking around? We seem to be getting a lot of people in alien suits instead of muppets these days though. Hope that doesn't become too common.

Even Harvey showed up. He's been pretty quiet lately. His revelation to John wasn't all that earth shattering...you'd think John could have figured it out on his own (Crais is using them? Wow, I never would have guessed!).

So Crais killed Mom. Ahhh....maybe. They didn't SHOW her being killed. Just sound effects. Mom said she would be going after the "secondary target" once Tayln was delivered. She never actually said that secondary target was Crais, we were just led to assume that it was Crais. But when you think about it, they knew Crais was on Tayln, so they would get Crais if they got Talyn. So why would they need a plan to come back for him? So what else could the secondary target be? Maybe John...he has the wormhole stuff in his head still, and their experiments aren't all that successful yet. How about Moya? She successfully birthed a gun ship, and maybe they want her back to have more. Maybe someone else (they all got their secrets!)

So did Crais really kill her? Or stike a deal to deliver the secondary target to her and let her go? I wouldn't put it past him at all!

I was not as thrilled with Stark/Rygel this time out. Their banter wasn't up to par, and Stark was more annoying than he has been lately. Him saving Rygel's life was interesting, if a little contrived. But I really liked that Zhaan was brought into it. I hate it when shows kill someone off, then go on like they were never there. Zhaan watching over them from the afterlife is a nice thought.

I would agree with you that Talyn John would probably buy it, except that I'm pretty sure that Moya John is a clone and is fading fast. As for Harvey figuring it out for John, I don't think it was exactly that. It think harvy is part John's subconsious and part the scorpy clone. It was John's subconsious that told him what was really going on. Something he knew all along but it just really clicked then. And Harvey was just a visual aid ;)

I really do think your right though - if Moya John turns out not to be dying then Talyn John will be the one to buy it so they can start over. It would make sense. Put them back on the blocks for a bit. And I think your right about her reaction. I don't think she want's John protecting her every move. Which is a very male instinct. So I like that they did it. Very realistic. ;)

Hmmm, I think Talyn Crichton will prove to be the survivor and Moya Crichton is history. I'm sure this is the big discussion on all the boards now.

I have my suspicians about Mrs. Sun, though. For one thing, when she was a prisoner, she apparently cut open her own forearm to remove a knife. The arm looked quick fake--like the skin was just a casing. So what if Mrs. Sun was actually another one of those tracking creatures in disguise? We know they can either shape-shift our take on the outer appearance of another creature. In that case, when Crias killed her, he would probably have discovered she was a fake all along. And that means the real Mrs. Sun is still out there, and possibly not the bitch-queen we were led to believe.

In any case, fake or not, I don't think she's dead. If Crais starts acting funny, we'll know he made a deal.

Nice to hear that Starke saw some kind of vision of Zhaan. Means we may eventually see Virginia Hey back in a guest appearance.

The Scarran assault must be getting near, too. The PKs are going all out to retrieve their Leviathan gun ship and Scorpy's going all out to develop a wormhole weapon. They clearly need to build an arsenal.

Next week--the origins of Scorpy! And now that we've had a glimpse of his mother's face, we know where he gets those rugged good looks!

And I'm still laughing about Starke stitching Rygel's stomach to his tunic.

Liked this ep a lot. I don't think Crais could hide whether he kills Mom or not. Since he and Talyn have a close bond, Talyn would know whether or not he does it. At least that is my theory ;o)

Just think, Mom is what Aeryn would have grown up to be if she had stayed with the Pk's. Miss Sensitivity wasn't her name when she first joined Moya's Merry Band.

What's up with John T. just figureing out Crais has been using them? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize Crais is playing every card he has to stay one step away from the law. Wasn't that the point of his commandering Talyn and going on the run?

The idea of Mom not really being Mom is a bit intriguing tho.

Well I've watched this one twice now and after having read some of your thoughts might just add a couple of my own.
Aeryn and John...at last, but as others have pointed out after the ah, receating, comes the building of a relationship.
John not only jumped Rygel's bone but he made poor choice's during the battle with the retrieval squad looking out for Aeryn's well being during the firefight. Well done fight, btw.
The boy's got it bad.

About that PK *Retrieval Squad*.
We know they kicked Talyn's ass all over the UT's forcing the current situation.
They have a PK *Pantak* class mercenary ship as well as a small escort of Prowlers.
So,
1)When Xhalax shoots the weaker of the 3 Colarta trackers she says that their shares have just gone up, suggesting they are:
A. alone
B. the only Colarta trackers on the mission of many?
2)When Xhalax and the two remaining Colarta's, Thek & Kek, come planetside in a Prowler where's the rest of the merc. crew? In orbit?
If that's the case their still up there waiting with orders to capture Talyn & Crais and with a bad assed ship too as well as a profit motive.
2a)Is there a *rest of the crew* or were they the only crew?

The Big question was what happened to Xhalax Sun?
TPTB had her killed/spared off screen for an as of yet unknown reason.
Stay tuned.

Iz, your right. The biggest question @ the SFC BBS is which *Crichton* will buy the farm.
My thought is Moya/John is the clone and not all that stable as the bleeding showed in *LT*. He will die an honorable death saving the crew aboard Moya.
Others have brought up the point that the show never moves backwards, meaning that the Talyn/John has moved the J/A storyline forward and having him die would move things *backward*.
Thus we as viewers would have to cover the same ground again in terms of the J/A relationship.
Boring.
Still others have brought up the speculation that M/J gets shot back to Earth by Scorpy's worn hole experiment because being Human he solves the *Sebacean pilot* problem and we take the story of wormholes back to square one, Crichton.
This is a great Sci-Fi story.
Many possibilities.
That's way we watch every week.

Zim,

Taking one of the John's back to earth is a possiblity I haden't thought of yet. It would work out well for many reasons. It would alert earth of the possible threats that await them in space. It would serve to inform John's Family and Friend(s) (DK etc) what happened to him. And he gets to stay in the UT and play alien outlaw with his new friends. Win-Win situation.

I'm very interested in the up coming EP to learn about Scorpy more. I think John and Scorpy have a unique relation ship - they both seem to have remnants of each others minds haunting them. Very cool plot device!
