PLEASE BOOKMARK THE NEW FORUMS
Posted By: Brian Sep 20, 1999 - 05:49 pm | | I don't think I'm alone in watching this show. It's been a little hit or miss, but what new show isn't? Overall, the characters are well developed and cool, the storyline and concept are neat, and the production is great! Some of the individual episodes have been excellent.
Farscape is my guilty pleasure. The muppet element is a bit cheesy, but at least it lets them have aliens that truly look different. I like the ecclectic mix of characters with Zan being my favorite. I kinda like Pilot too...he doesn't do much, but I like his attitude. The Peacekeepers need to be boosted...for supposedly being the ruthless dictators of the galaxy (or whatever) we don't get to see them do anything nasty to anyone. And yes, that was a plea for more violence *LOL*!!
It's spelled Zhaan. But I also love Farscape. The new puppets look better than the old.
Posted By: Flatline Aug 30, 2000 - 06:41 am | | I'm looking for a MIDI or other music file for Farscape, can any1 help?
Posted By: Iznardy Oct 02, 2000 - 10:02 am | | Hey there! Is this discussion still active? My old Farscape discussion group has sort of broken apart--and I don't care much for the SciFiChannel's bulletin board system. Looking for a new home-- iz
If you post to it, it will be active I agree about Scifi.com's forums...clumsy. Too bad since they have such great shows. I wonder why so many "big time" sites have such bad forums? Anyway, I've totally given my heart to Farscape. The last season was fantastic, and the show just keeps getting better. The characters have stayed fresh and there always seems to be a surprize ready to rear its head. The three episode "Look At The Princess" arc was a total masterpiece...its so great to see a solid piece of storytelling from any show. And Chiana...well, she's just so much fun I can hardly stand it! I'm absolutely salivating waiting for the new season. So what do you want to talk about?
Posted By: Iznardi Oct 05, 2000 - 03:26 am | | hey, this is a great site! especially for the news feed and the places to post writing. i'm part of a farscape discussion group (runs kind of hot and cold) over at http://www.thescifivine.com; i posted this URL over there, so hopefully some of the group will come visit. lately we've been discussing the show's arc. it now seems like the crew of moya have become pivotal to the struggle between scarrans, nebari, and peace-keepers. crichton holds the key to wormhole technology. chiana has the antibodies to a viral infection. zhaan has some sort of special relationship with the creators of the leviathans. rygel is supposedly the ruler of billions. aeryn (along with crais) has the trust of the only armed and dangerous leviathan in the area. and we are assuming that d'argos quest for his son will lead to some type of bigger repercussion. since everyone in our group were one-time babylon 5 fans, we are hoping all these storylines will link up into one big story-- iz
Posted By: ZimNova Oct 14, 2000 - 10:54 am | | FarScape Rocks! Hey Iz....the vine has indeed withered :-( Right about that board format over @ the SFC, hopeless to navigate as ones posts are soon lost in a cyber-warp black hole. One could spend half the day looking for the number of a post and now there's a major flame war in progess as they seem to have nothing better to do lacking any new episodes to talk about.

Howdy Zim and Iz! Is it just me or are the rest of you going frelling nuts waiting for Farscape to start up again? Everything else that I watch is in rerun hell.... __!_!__ Gizmo
Posted By: Iznardi Oct 25, 2000 - 08:28 am | | hey giz! hey zim! i'm not happy about the hiatus, but then, the new "Dune" feature is coming out Dec. 3rd. and there's "Andromeda." and it's even fun to re-watch Babylon 5 (especially now that we are moving into Season Two. I NEVER liked Season One, at least not until they discovered the great machine and had the time travel episode with Bablyon 4). Plus, I am waiting for my Farscape action figures. But I have to say, SCIFI CHANNEL is not going to hold on to its fandom for Farscape if it doesn't stop these three month interuptions. I mean, run re-runs, run cast interviews, contract for a feature film--anything--but fill in the gap! Have they no clue that fans thrive on momentum, and if you just stop a series dead and take if off the air, you've basically lost your core audience? Hmmmmm. iz
Posted By: Iznardi Jan 03, 2001 - 07:16 am | | POSTED JANUARY 3, 2001 Attention Zim, Bmat, Gizmo, Nommy, and all: To anyone straying by this board from TSFV or Hostboard. It appears our other meeting places are now officially dead, or so d**n unreliable as to be useless. I propose moving the group here. This is a great site, well-maintained, and drastically under-used, at least for discussion of scifi shows and movies. In any case, I would say this is the place to be at least for Farscape discussions, since none of us like the format at the official page and the Vine and Hostboard only work on odd Mondays in monthes with an "r" in them. iz
Iz and all... this is a great site! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I hope that larger numbers of us refugees posting here won't make THIS site sink into the swamp; it's worth exploring!
Posted By: ZimNova Jan 03, 2001 - 08:22 pm | | Iz, Thanks for the update. The Frelling SFV boards do indeed seem dead, all that great work from the first season of FarScape plus the 18 ep.'s from S-2 all gone (not to mention 3 years of Babylon).....Frelling Dren. I received an e-mail that you had poster here so let's hope others find this place as the new episodes start this Friday, the 5th, 2001 and we need a place to post out thoughts. Woo Hoo. As an aside, I ran across a link from the SFC's BBS to a most special one of a kind doll. Created by Juperee, it's a vary nice *Delenn* made by hand. This is great work by a true fan of Babylon. Please visit her site to say thanks. Visit: Juperee's Delenn Doll Hope is all we have. ZimQ'Tar
Posted By: Iznardi Jan 05, 2001 - 06:16 am | | Zim and Gizmo--it's now hard to contact you without the Vine running, but if you get here-- most of the group now posts regularly at the following URL: http://www.hostboard.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Zocolo&number=339 Zocolo at Hostboard but I am trying to get people to post here as well. I visit here fairly frequently. iz
Wow...I've been invaded! COOL I PROMISE that Speculative Vision will not sink into the swamp Erythrina! This is a very robust piece of software that has oodles of capacity available, and I don't plan on ever scrapping the forums because I enjoy them. Believe me, SV ain't goin' away! Iznardi...I agree, the TV and movie forums haven't been as popular as some of the others. Not sure why really...c'est la vie! Sometimes I need to work on it in spurts myself (stupid "real" life keeps interfering ) Anyway, welcome to all--I look forward to hashing out the latest FS eps with you (anyone got the action figures yet? I DO! Told ya' it sucked me in). Please let me know if you have any problems, questions, or suggestions. I'm always happy to oblige!
Posted By: Azziz Jan 08, 2001 - 01:34 pm | | Yeah, this looks pretty cool, Iz! Prepare to be invaded Master! I'm very new to farscape, so I won't be talking much in this topic. But I'll be around in some of the others.
Posted By: Bmat Jan 13, 2001 - 02:07 pm | | Iz! Gizmo! Azziz! Ery! Zim! Woohoo!!! Great to see you all!!! I'm still hanging in at the vines and plan to shift into the new area whenever the vines are past history. This place is VERY nice! I love the ease of correcting drafts. I already have it placed on my personal tool bar. I used to be all cranked up over Farscape, but haven't been able to regain the old enthusiasm with the two latest episodes. The acting seems overly melodramatic, for example. I'm tired of John's explosions and threats. Even Zhaan is overdoing it. Her character used to be mystical and dignified. Perhaps it's the writing going downhill or maybe the directing. Orrrr- it could be that I am watching B5 reruns five nights a week and that Farscape just doesn't measure up? I remember when Farscape first came on I was skeptical, but then I became an avid fan. However the spark is gone for me. I hope comes back.
