So, was this a piece of the real Zaahn stuck in this game of was she real in a photo-genetic kinda way. along with her psychic healing abilities. After all....she is a plant. Photo synthesis..one with the sun and all...Hmmmmm

I thought Crichton said "Crais' command carrier" too, but apparently he said "Grayza's command carrier." At least, that's according to some other folks that went back and listened to the line again, very closely.

I loved Max Headroom, and Crichton as Max was a hoot. "My job s-s-s-s-sucks."

It was a fun episode, until the end, when Zhaan made an appearance. No, I don't think it was really her, I think it was part of the game. Her makeup was different, I noticed, some of the pattern was different; might be because Virginia Hey has such a terrible allergic reaction to the makeup. I'm not sure, but I think I was wearing the same expression Crichton was when she appeared. I nearly started crying. I really miss Zhaan. *sigh*

Several really funny parts -- John pulling a banana out of his holster (boooiiiinnnngggg), and Crais as an ogre. Stark really didn't like Crais, did he? Aeryn's weird Southern-belle-with-a-lisp accent. Rygel as the Black Knight, using his...um... bodily functions as a flame thrower.

Last scene, though, that was powerful. John walks past Aeryn in the corridor. Aeryn says, "I heard I was a princess." John pauses, thinks, goes on without replying. I wonder what he was thinking -- yeah, you were a princess, but not the real one. Seeing Zhaan again, knowing it wasn't really Zhaan and that she's never coming back, had to have been painful. And methinks Aeryn may have pushed John away one too many times....

Good episode. Browder is a real good writer.

Im about to watch it again. I now believe, after some more Sober thought, that It really was a "part" of Zaahn. After all, she and Chrighton had mind melded..shared souls..shared essence..etc. So, it was Zaahns essence. Ee sahll see in the future.

Anyway, The game liked Chrightons odd mind so much that it wanted him? I guess I'll have more to say after I watch it again.

I Cant wait to hear from IZ and Zim on this one.....hehe

Nomad...take a pill!

First point. The SFC frelled up with the blipverts about Zhann appearing in this one. 90 seconds at that. I loved her character and I miss her beauty, both in body and spirit. This should have been a complete surprise as this was one of the best kept secrets on the 'net.
And Virginia was not listed in the opening credits either but in the end credits.

I have to say, love it or hate it, this was a great Farscape episode. I've read around 50 articles with well over 350 replies at the SFC's BBS today and there's about a 50/50 spilt [with flames] over the quality of JQ.
There are 2 camps:
1) Conservatives who like *linear* Sci-Fi. That is to say all the J/A Shippers who were pissed at the tag scene, people who like a straight up story ala Trek or those who never took drugs.
2) Risk Takers who falling off a cliff might as well try to fly [Sheridan quote from B-5], people who thought Max Headroom was cool, *A Clockwork Orange* was a great film and may have experimented with drugs sometime in their past [present]. Remember, Lewis Carroll was an opium addict when he wrote *Alice in Wonderland*.
I include myself in the latter group. A certain and equal amount of imagination along with the suspension of belief is needed to enjoy JQ.

So we go down the rabbit hole yet again.
As always it's the little things that make this show the best Sci-Fi series on TV.
Ben did a wonderful job writing this story. On the one hand it looks like a stand alone... I don't think so!
He knows the story arc, characters and added a ton of stuff playing upon a VR game being fueled by Crichton's sub-conscious mind. Ah, but keep in mind, this game is based on the memories of T-John, being played by M-John and Chiana with a full supporting cast.
Sikozu asking Scorpy at the beginning if he knows how to play the game [chess] sets the tone in a subtle way.
First thing I noticed was how the game interface looked like the one in David Cronenberg's[SP] VR game based film, *eXistenZ*. Creepy film that one.
We're thrown into a world where things happen really fast and to parapharse G'Kar from Babylon; "Nobody here is exactly whom they seem".
Gilina! Oh, gone to soon.
Oh, I love Chiana's costume! Unique sets as well. Farscape spends the bucks, again to give we viewers a great show.
Whoa, Stark's mask is different, backwards in fact.
Arc link Max Crichton[MC] to John, "Discouver the Darkness".

Rowan Woods as Zhann? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha and that's only the half of it. The looma juice was kinda lame imho but funny none-the-less.
Rygel as the Black Knight...LOL again. He's a gas.
Jool's part was wasted I thought. A small matter but I was hoping for more of her.

Then, are they talking to Moya and Ka D'argo or are they still in the game?
Scarrans and Sheyang's, oh my!
Claudia does a fine job as *Scarlett* but that American southern accent has got to go.
Arc link. Crichton; "I only want Chiana".
Aeryn; "Oh now, we both know that's not true, honey".
Crais as the Ogre, classic.
Next is one little scene. One scene that is vary, vary complicated. During the conversation in the passageway between John and Aeryn.
Crichton; "This is familiar".
Aeryn; "What the passageway?".
Crichton; "No, it's good to have you back".
The general consensus [thanks to everyone at the SFC for your thoughts] is that in this VR game, being based on the experiences of T-John while being played by M-John, points to Crichton sub-consciously being happy to be back with Aeryn pre-*Eat Me*. Before the crew spilt with the *equal but seperate* John Crichton's.
Ever since then things just ain't been the same between them. Aeryn has seen *one* John die, spilt from Moya on a coin toss and returned in *Promises* a totally different person. She's been *rescued* by Scorpius, disrupted an entire planet working as a *PK Assassin* and now is nothing but a host of questions for John. So he *feels* the difference between the VR Aeryn and the current one. He just wants the *old* Aeryn back.
Aeryn has also been *twined* in a sense with her relationships with the two Crichton's.
Heady stuff yes?

Well this post grows long and we have dealt with only the first half of the episode so time for an intermission.

Actually..I did take a pill. I took a Tylenol in the morning. One beer too many, I think. However, it certaily helped with jaw dropping and fits of laughter.
As for the re-watching...hehe... I fell asleep as I was waiting for Karina to watch it with me.

Yes, very complicated episode. Something tells me that IZ will have a more derogatoryu view of this ep. Take it away , Iz!
