I got hooked into this show during the fall of last year and was heartbroken by its cancellation.

Now, a year later, I am happy to see the DVD sets are out. They came out yesterday (12/9) I already have my copy. I am so excited about all the extras! It is a great set!

For those of you who have never seen the show,it is a science fiction drama set about 500 years in the future, but it is nothing like you have seen on television so far. The special effects are just marvelous (they won an Emmy Award this year) and the story will grab you from the start.

We might even see a movie coming soon, although nothing is set in stone yet.

For those of you who don't know, this person is talking about "Firefly."

Great show, I too was sad to see it go and excited about the DVD! I hope his plans for movies come through, but I hope they don't screw him up like they did with the first Buffy movie.

Very excellent show. It got canned by the network because it wasn't meeting their ratings standards. . .nevermind that it was the second highest rating for some of the worst time slots imaginable. You'd think they never wanted it to succeed.

Still, the actors they selected worked well together, and the storyline was very good. A few of the effects were a little on the cheap side, but what can you expect for something that isn't a multi-million-dollar flic?
