I can't believe i went and took that quiz! Of course doing crazy things is something i am famous for, but i haven't been into dragons in a long time.

I noticed everyone but the "creative" Aslan has a dragon with a color for its name. Except for me. I am a Heliotropic dragon. I don't even have scales!!! Just a leathery hide.
I walk the thin line of neutrality, and while i can be all that in a magical way, it isn't easy for your Heliotropic dragon. But i am loyal. And very competitive.
but what does Heliotropic actually mean? The closest my dictionary had (it is very old) is Heliotropic is the name of a type of flower, the forget-me-not. Well, it is hard to forget someone or some dragon as great as me. But why can't i have scales. Shiny green ones that sparkle red would be good. Maybe i should redefine the heliotropic dragon.
oh, my elements are Bloodstone (which is actually pretty cool) and Valerian Root. Mopre plant stuff!

Oh, if you live in a village, i guess when us Heliotropic Dragons get competitive, we have been known to crush hamlets in our "contests" get Dragon insurance.

Hello Odrade,
This is Greyth, maker of the dragon quiz, and I thought I might answer a few of your questions regarding the quiz.

First, most of the dragons involved do NOT use a color in thier name, as can be seen at http://travel-hounds.com/dragon/types.asp . There are 81 possible outcomes for the quiz, and of those I only count about 9 having a color in thier name. So don't feel left out.

The Heliotropic Dragon Draws it's name from the word heliotrope. This is one of my favorite dragons because it's name has many meanings.

\He"li*o*trope, n. [F. h['e]liotrope, L. heliotropium, Gr. ?; ? the sun + ? to turn, ? turn. See Heliacal, Trope.] 1. (Anc. Astron.) An instrument or machine for showing when the sun arrived at the tropics and equinoctial line.

2. (Bot.) A plant of the genus Heliotropium; -- called also turnsole and girasole. H. Peruvianum is the commonly cultivated species with fragrant flowers.

*** you might note that Valerian root is of this particular genus, thus it is one of your dragon's elements.

3. (Geodesy & Signal Service) An instrument for making signals to an observer at a distance, by means of the sun's rays thrown from a mirror.

4. (Min.) A Bloodstone (a) . n : green chalcedony with red spots that resemble blood [syn: bloodstone]
Source: WordNet ® 1.6, © 1997 Princeton University

*** your dragon draws its physical description, as well as another element, from this last definition.

So there ya have it, Mr. Heliotropic Wyrm

-Greyth

I am a A Stone Dragon

In the war between good and evil, a Stone Dragon tends to walk the fine line of Neutrality....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon walks a fine line between Law and Chaos....
As far as magical tendancies, a Stone Dragon's nature does not lend itself well to the ways of Magic....
During combat situations, a true Stone Dragon prefers to defeat opponents by the use of spells and other tactics....
The Stone Dragon varies in color, ranging from a dark grey to nearly white. As it's name implies, it's texture is stonelike, and often it's coloring will actually resemble marble, granite or some other idigenous rock.'
The Stone Dragon builds it's home deep underground, using it's powerful claws to scoop earth and stone away. Did you hear me? Yes, it uses its claws to dig through stone, which also makes it a powerfull fighter in close combat.'
Luckily for most would be enemies, the stone dragon lives far enough in seclusion that seldom does it have a need to use either it's claws, or it's devastating lava breathe weapon. Even though the Stone Dragon lives far under the earth, it is quite social and often makes friends and allies with the deep dwarves that share it's habitat.

This Dragons favorite elements are: Granite and Loyal Friendships

I think some people who takes the test is a bit dishonest with themselves though.
In the first page of the test, there is alot of "did you ever ...." questions whitch if you really think about it, are mostly "yes, unfortunately I did ....."

I also took the Wizard Test

I have passed test, and I am now deemed worthy to be known as a ... ... Enchanter. In the war between good and evil, Enchanters take the side of the noble and good.I am gifted with the elemental plane of Air.

Nearly always in good heart. These Wizards are users of pure and good magic only. Thoughtful, reserved, and extremely introspective, the Wizard is devoted to self-enlightenment and sees the study of magic as the key to spiritual awareness. The Wizard enjoys nothing more than spending long hours contemplating the mysteries of the universe and attempting to become more in touch with his inner self. The Wizard is not necessarily a student
of religion or philosophy; he seeks an awareness that can only be found intuitively. The Wizard is by no means a reluctant magic-user. In fact, the Wizard believes that the casting of each spell and the acquisition of each new magical technique brings him closer to perfect awareness. The mental discipline necessary for the mastery of magic is the perfect
compliment to self-knowledge.

Your powers are highly attuned to the elemental plane of air. Storms and the powers of the winds come at your beck and call. Sometimes a magic user tuned to the elemental plane of air has the power to fly at will, and infuse his living body with the powers of his element. Often mages of air will build their strongholds or magical dwellings in high places such as mountain tops or flying citadels high above the earth where they can be close to their element. Some of the more powerfull spells in your arsenal include Lightning Bolt, Desert Twister, and Divine Wind.

I like that, even though I sayd I would build my castle under the sea :)

[Gabriel, the links did take us to a limo service so I removed them. If you like you can put the correct link in and remove this notice. Bmat]

I have passed the wizard's test, and I am now deemed worthy to be known as a Sorceress. In the war between good and evil, Sorceresss take the side of the noble and good.I am gifted with the elemental plane of Air.

A Sorceress creates magic the way a poet creates poems, with inborn talent honed by practice. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Some Sorceress' claim that the blood of dragons courses through their veins. It may even be true-it is common knowledge that certain powerful dragons can take humanoid form and even have humanoid lovers, and it’s difficult to prove that a given a Sorceress does not have a dragon ancestor. A Sorceress often has striking good looks, usually with a touch of the exotic that hints at an unusual heritage. Still, the claim that a Sorceress is partially draconic is either an unsubstantiated boast on the part of a certain Sorceress or envious gossip on the part of those who lack the Sorceress's gift.

Your powers are highly attuned to the elemental plane of air. Storms and the powers of the winds come at your beck and call. Sometimes a magic user tuned to the elemental plane of air has the power to fly at will, and infuse his living body with the powers of his element. YEAH!!! I'm DRACONIC! Woohoo!

I am a A Ruby Dragon!

Hey, I took the http://dragonhame.com online Inner Dragon quiz and found out I am a Ruby Dragon on the inside.

In the war between good and evil, Ruby Dragons take the side of the noble and good....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon walks a fine line between Law and Chaos....
As far as magical tendancies, Your inner dragon has the ability to conquer the world of magic, but it will not be easy....
During combat situations, a true Ruby Dragon prefers to defeat opponents by the use of spells and other tactics....
The Ruby Dragon makes its home in lush forests with lots of flowers and abundant animal life. They treasure colorful things and bright sunshine.'
Appearing as a translucent ruby, it is a beautiful thing to see one as one flies overhead. The suns ray's pass through the dragon's body creating a deep red shadow. It's scales magnify the suns rays into bright ruby red beams to highlight this effect.'
Ruby Dragons harbor a great thirst for travel and foreign places, but always long to come home, for their home is their castle and refuge. A Ruby Dragons temper is fired up by injustice, and when a Ruby Dragon feels it is right, it is terribly difficult to change its opinion. Ruby Dragons appreciate creativity and artful thinking.

I havn't taken the test yet I started to though my aversion to being quantified took over.I never have taken an I.Q test.

Being born during the year of the dragon has contributed to my dragon identification. What kind of dragons are ridiculously independent not wanting to be confined into an established definition?

A silly dragon?

lol - how appropriate.

I don't understand the question about whether emerald is before or after?

I liked the "your inner dragon is a risk taker and answers to no one" for me. Maybe these quizzes are tapping into a deeper power than we know - lol

Your descriptions are all applicable

There is much which taps into very deep stuff.

This is what has blown my mind.

Dynamics which go into writting fiction(which is applied creative myth)are beutifull.

This also goes into random surveys and interactions.

Dragons are known for enjoying philosophical discussions.even pontification.

I am a A Copper Dragon!

Hey, I took the http://dragonhame.com online Inner Dragon quiz and found out I am a Copper Dragon on the inside.

In the war between good and evil, Copper Dragons take the side of the noble and good....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon walks a fine line between Law and Chaos....
As far as magical tendancies, Magical spells come as natural to the Copper Dragon as breathe from it's body....
During combat situations, whether by spells or by claw, your inner dragon will do whatever it takes to get the job done....
Copper Dragons make their homes on wooded hillsides, preferably close to a spring or river. They are fond of the Irish and typically speak with a soft Irish accent.'
At birth, the Copper Dragon's body is covered in semi-reflective copper scales. As the dragon matures into it's young adult stages these scales become more polished and highly reflective.'
As the dragon grows older and moves to the elder stages of life, it's scales begin to tarnish and mature into a bright greenish brown color. Copper dragons spend little time among humans, but can be often found among the elves and other magical folk.

I finally took the test and am a dragon of Illusion.

neutral and answering to no one magic is my essence. Color changes with mood, which swirls around me in vibrant waves of light.

In the rare instance when a situation results in combat I too prefer rending and slashing hand to hand combat.
