Excuse the korny title. Sigh, what was I thinking?

This is where we tell ghost stories, discuss the meaning of them, discuss what ghosts are, the philosiphy of ghosts--or anything remotely to do with Bugbears, Phantoms and those nasty little critters than live under childrens' beds (and only at night.)

For believers like me, it's important to keep a sense of humour about it. After all, wouldn't anyone normal call me nuts for being a full grown man who believes in ghosts, faeries and OTHER things I have NO idea about. Where I live, pracically everyone has at least one good siting story, but of corse some make them up or exagerate them just to be involved. But many are true. When I lived in Toronto, for one and a half years, I saw nothing paranormal, although I felt it, strangely. Being home again, I'm back to the same old strange stuff.

I've got so much to tell so I'll just give one example for now:

One time when I was 8 or so, I woke up strait awake from my sleep. It was about 2:30AM. I had a funny feeling to look over my left shoulder. So I got up and looked out my window. When I did, I saw a ghost in one of our cars. It wasn't like ghosts I had heard about, more like something out of "Ghostbusters". It was farely short, thin and see-through. It's fingers were very long, like abstractly pulled way out, and very pointed. It's chin came way out. Most memerable however, was it's grin. The smile was huge, going way up in it's head. It's mouth was abstract-looking, and came way out. It had a huge smile! It's teeth were somewhat pointed. It's brittle-looking hands were streched out upon the steering wheel. It was motionless. Very still. Only it's hands moved accrost the steering wheel as if it were driving. I turned away, and somehow managed to get back to sleep. Adventually.

I told this to a friend many years later, a guy I worked with who was interested in shamanism and shared the same spiritual beliefs that I had. He thought it was a guy who died in a car crash, and didn't yet know he was dead. It is an old belief, that despite a dead person realizes things around them look differently--for one, spirits operate on a different time frame than we do, often moving VERY slowly while to them we appear to be moving very quickly--no doubt why there are so many tales of ghosts watching us when we're in bed, still--he still doesn't know he's dead.

But I know something woke me, and pulled at my left shoulder to get me to look outside. Either it was him--an intity of some sort having fun with me, or it was something else. But I swear on my life, it was real. And NOT just a fragment of my imagination.

That sounds like a person that died ina worng way or wrong time and is stuck and a fellow ghost or evean a spirit walker touched you so that you could see the ghost and mabye and only mabye help him get rest becouse most of the ghost we are "allowed" to see is people that died in a wrong way or time so they cannot leave a certin area or thing always to return doing the same thing a lock in time so "all" we have to do is make it up some how and that can be very hard...... now there are also other "ghosts"

Deamons wich i personally belive very much in as i Swear i've seen some its horrifieing (didn't spell that right know it)
mostely becouse i've seen them in very very bad looks sometimes like rotten corpses (this si true) i also seem to sometimes see thing change before my eyes but very fast like a stump of wood chnage so a face then into a other face and then to normal

but very very very fast sometimes it just looks like it flimmers but if i look enough and carefully i can see diffrent things i also had dreams about dead poeple talking to me and when i checked

they where poepple that might have lived on the farm i live on it had a fire and some poeple died thats all i know but its like they keep asking me for help also i see this ghost i think its pretty old and seems to enjoy the life of a ghost its mroe free than others and it just make funny pranks what the people i told about it said i was just a stupid or Crazy but i belive in it

Cool, Raistlin. These things can sure be frightening, eh? I too have seen mysterious faces and what not. I wonder if you see them when you're at a particular place or at various locations. It might mean the difference between a haunted area, or a ghost/ghosts that are following you around. If you want rid of them, you might try ignoring them. A know little of your experiences but they don't sound uncommon (as far as paranormal experiences go.)

well i would like to learn from them they have a very large experience to give out from also some ghost are free in thir dimension (i think they are in another Time dimension)

and yes sometimes its very frightening but mysterious becouse iam getting used to it sometimes also trying to talk to them and i got answaer in diffrent ways i missed something to do once and i asked them what could fill this out and when i got to sleeep

i dremt of a book a lance and a dragon i didn't know what it ment but the next day i came by a library and spotted this book dragonlance and i thought why not try and it did really fill out that time i didn't used and i was bored in

also i asked for many things and sometimes i get them answered in diffrent ways

but it seems like they are only where i don't feel so safe to be around then its like they are around me and i can see them in diffrent things

so i wondered if they somewhat is protecting me

Don't know. Be careful though. Dealing with ghosts could be like walking blind-folded through a mine field.

I cant say that I have had actual visiuals of ghosts. However, you know when you get that hair on the back of the neck feeling after thinking of someone who has passed and your peripheral vision thinks you saw that person ......

Yeah, that's true. I think we're in constant contact with the dead.
