Hello

Nomad:
No man I haven't, but I very much want to, it looks like a great Sci-Fi film. I think Jon Luke is the best Star Treck Captain, although The Next Generation isn't the best series for me, Voyager was as far as ST series go. But Nemesis looks really fantastic, from the trailers I have seen the ships look awesome and the sets and bad guys look really cool. I understand, from watching an interview that something very cool or extraordinary happens to my favourite character in ST, Data, in the movie Nemesis. Don't know what it is, but if anybody reading this does, please don't spoil it for me :) as I am so much looking forward to watching the movie.
Have you seen it Nomad? If so, what’s it like?
Regards
Hyperion

Ian Banks. I'm going to look into him. I like cultural/sociological scifi, anything new high tech.biotech etc. How about the latest rash of religious scifi, ex. SOULSAVER [from Harcourt] / Winner of Europe's UPC Award / Best First
Novel 2000, by James Stevens...anyone like stuff like that? I don't so don't worry about disagreeing with this. Just wondering how these people get published when the stuff I like doesn't seem to be making it.

Heheheh: I saw all three in the last week. Here is the way I would rank them as far as total experience:

TTT (visually amazing)
Star Trek (my new favorite ST movie)
Harry Potter (just saw it today and am still digesting it. I may need to see it again to fully appreciate it.)

Tried to find Ian Banks on Amazon and failed. Is

Walking On Glass
by Ian Banks (Author)

Look to Windward -- by Iain M. Banks

I'm not familiar with the author, but it appears his name is Iain?

Both of those titles were on amazon. The first actually shows a cover picture and the name on the cover is Iain.

Nemesis seemed to go by so quickly, but that could be because I had just seen LOTR: TTT the day before....

Yeah his name is Iain not Ian andthe full name of the author is as follows below:
Iain M Banks.
Books by him = Look To Windward, Excession, Against a Dark Background, Feersum Endjinn, Use Of Weapons, The Player of Games, Inversions.
That is to name but a small few of his works ;), but by far the best one out of all of them for me is Excession.
