70's(?) sci-fi movieWe have moved to new forum software and posting here is closed!
What is the name of the movie that has a character named "Phil"? I believe it was Phil who drove an ice cream truck. The older brother of the litte boy who survived was either killed by the little silver spheres that flew and had double knife-like things that came out and smashed into peoples' heads, or the little sand people from another diminsion dragged him through.
That would be the Phantasm movies. The silver balls are way cool
quick ? what is the name of that 70's movie
Not Soylent Green?
yea, that is Soylent Green. Has to be.

Oh man! Logans Run was a 70's classic. If youran "old" Farrah Faucit dan...this was the movie.
Anyone ever see a maybe indy sci fi movie about a kid who finds a couple of floating silver balls that he follows thru the desert (Not Phantasm) I saw it during the mid to late 70's on sat or sun afternoon on ch 5 KTLA Los Angeles
You have a memory that streches back 30 years, any you can even remember what day of the week it was and what channel? wow! I wish I could do that...
You're thinking of the old show "The Phoenix." It ran less than a full season, but it got very good marketing. Some of the other references would be sun-powered necklaces and a missing girl that the lead would always find and then lose and the end up about every third episode. The effects were actually pretty decent, considering the limits of syndicated TV in the 70's.
I have never heard of 'The Phoenix' couldn't have been shown in the UK - does anybody know where can I find some more info - cheers!
