Hey all..

John Meany finishes his trilogy which had the books, "Paradox and Contex"t firstly, and now finishes of with, "Resolution".

I was, and continue to be, well pleased with myself having discovered John Meany.

He takes scifi to another level, and his grasp of Quantum Mechanics and the Quantum level related sciences, not to mention his grasp of molecular physics, makes for great, highly deep seated science fiction, with real science behind the wild rides you take in his books.

His Science Fiction is more conserned with how best to make Humans Super Human, and his characters, although set way into the future, are so life-like and awe inspiring that it is hard to not to relate to them, and end up picking your favourites early on in his books, and route/gun for them throughout the ride of reading the stories.

Like I said I am really glad I discovered Meany, and am well pleased with the final serving in the trilogy that is now, "Paradox, Context, Resolution" :)

He has written another book, that is set in the same Universe, but not linked to the trilogy, that book is called, "To Hold Infinity" and that is very much a must read also for Meany fans :)

I highly recommend John meany to anyone who likes their science fiction to be fast paced, highly descriptive and detailed, and backed up by the author being highly knowledgeable in the Science behind what is written in their stories.

There is a difference between being scientific in your writing, and "grasp of molecular physics...". One i enjoy, the other might be beyond me completely. I like science, but personally, some levels are higher than my brain wants to bend. I read some hawkings, and i feel my brain turning round into undefined shapes.

I might try this guy, if he is as interesting as you say, but i might not be able to hack it or might need a break. he doesn't sound like i could read 500 pages in a day, as i have been known to do.

well, Hyper, i will try.

And if you check in your boards in the off topic area, you will find plenty of posts to you

Hello Odrade, so good to see and hear from you again :)
Missed you loads :)

Don't let my, probably over-done, explanation of Meany's work put you off trying him out.

What I was trying to get across was that Meany has a scientific background in the real world, and as a result his science fiction has more legitimacy because he backs it up with science fact :)

But most of all his books are wild rides of adventure.

In the series there is a higher class of human and a lower class. The lower class wait hand and foot on the higher Nobel's, and they all live underground hehe.

The Nobel's are more or less immortal, and have great technology at their disposal, while the lower classes are lorded over.

But up from the lower classes steps a hero who fights for all of the humans against a dark alien foe hehe.

They are great reads truly hehe

Like I said great to hear from you again Odrade, good to have you back :)
