Catch is invisible except when he is in eating mode, and what he eats are people. Travis keeps hoping to find a way to send Catch back to whence he came, but the task has become very difficult as Catch grows stronger and also has the ability to influence the way people think. The book has a good number of entertaining as well as evil characters. Even though people are consumed, there is no involvement with the people, and the descriptions of the killings are not at all gory. Practical Demon-Keeping is a dark comedy fantasy, and it has a bit of a flavor of works by Douglas Adams. It is a fun and fast read, and I recommend it as a book you won’t soon forget.
