True, that is the reason why I switched from "The Minority Report". But it's your desicion. In the end it's whatever you choose.

Is everyone still involved with this? They don't seem to post that often. I'd like to see if everyone could get ahold of one. We should probally go with whatever we choose really, as otherwise people may not want to buy a copy until they see that the others were able to, and then no one does. We should always stick to the plan.

Yeah, that's a good idea. We should stick to whatever plan we set in the beginning.

I'm still here, but just barely.

That's three. Who else is here still? I sure hope that this doesn't die out. I had high hopes and would hate to see them come crashing down.

Seems to be a wee bit slow. Our book club may have to close its doors for "retooling". lol.

I suggest sending out emails to everyone who was interested, asking them if they would still like to be a part of this.

Yeah, maybe. Maybe if we close down for a little bit we can reopen with avengeance. It'd be kind of like taking a house off the market for a while only to bring it back and bring back former interested buyers along with newer ones as well. Do you think we've come to such a place where that is necessary?

With Lycoria I emailed like everyone on the sight and asked them if they were interested.

WOW! Everybody on the site? That's a lot of people. I should probably do something like that for this. It would definately drum up some business, so to speak.

YAY! My library finally got a copy of "The Minority Report"! My sister got it from them and I'm going to read it as well. Unfortunately I still have two books I need to finish, but that's besides the point.

So, what's this about? You guys decide what to read together then discuss about it? Because if that's so, I wouldn't be able to follow. I tend to start reading books and never finish them... It seems I was born with a writing and not reading gene... Big surprise to my teachers back when I was in school.
I have a nephew who has the reading gene. He reads an average of one book per week!

LOL

Sorry to hear about that, Phoenix. But it appears that we have, at least temporarilly, disbanded.

But I'm a fast reader too. I'm right now reading The Song of Susannah and The Tommyknockers and am about to start The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I started TSOS this week and, despite Christmas, am nearly done with it. The Tommyknockers, started a few days earlier but put aside for TSOS, I have maybe 150 pages left. And I've also read several short stories since then.

But I love reading, pretty much the same as I love writing.

Well, if you guys do pick it up, and decide to go for a short story, I might want to try and join in!

We'll see. Cause it's certainly an interesting thing (when able to keep it up). It might give me that extra motivation I need.

Perhaps we should then make a list of those who would be willing to participate, and when that list reaches a certain number, we could start it up again. Magus?
