Scifi and Fantasy Forum: Books and Book Reviews: Eragon - Movie?
Eragon - Movie? We have moved to new forum software and posting here is closed!
I heard that Eragon by Christopher Paolini was being made into a film. That true? And what books did Tamora Pearce write? No spoilers, just what it might say on the back. I'm a newbie by the way.
Welcome to SV, deadwhisper!
Eragon maybe made into a movie.....someone has the film rights, but just because they have the film rights does not mean they will make a movie......
I really enjoyed Eragon and really hope that it is made into a movie. I also can hardly wait until the next book The Eldest comes out!!
I still haven't gotten around to reading it yet. When I finish Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Dark Tower VI: The Song of Susannah and The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower I'll be free to options. Hopefully I'll then be in the mind to pick up a copy and read it. But I may be tuckered out of fantasy for the moment, so I'll probably get to it after one or two non-fantasy books.
How can anyone be "tuckered out of fantasy"?,
Trust me, after reading almost nothing but since summer you can get tuckered out of just about anything.
if they do make an eragon movie i hope it is exacly like the book, i love the small details it adds to the story............. my question is when is the movie saposed to come out, i know its 2005 but thats all i know.
How close it would be to the book would depend how lienient with his rights the author is. I know that Stephen King lets them go far too easily, in my and other's opinions. It really depends on the author.
This is what i've heard about the film along with other information thus far:
There is absolutely zero chance that it will be out in 2005 if casting has not yet begun. I'd heard that rumor, too, but it seems unlikely now.
You're counting on the guy who wrote Jurassic Park III to do a good job? Well, stranger things have happened, namely Legally Blond 2 and Needful Things adaptation.
I was quite impressed with "Eragon",especially being written by someone so young.Wonderful tale.I LOVE dragons!!!!
I haven't read it yet but I really want to. But I felt the same way when I read The Outsiders by S.E.Hinton. She was thirteen when she wrote it.
Any more news on the release of the movie?
