A new and upcoming Australian author is Trudi Canavan. Check out 'The Magicians' Guild', 'The Novice' and 'High Lord'. Excellent.

Garth Nix is great I find, though that's one of the only Ausie Authours I read.

Lynn Flewelling isnt Aussie is she? i havent read the bone dolls twin? any good? what is the plot supposed to be?

personally i HATE john marsden- i think it comes of them shoving his books downour thraot at school. though his 'tomorrow' series wasnt too bad. Colin Theilie too. i think if they want children to read autstralian authors willingly and NOT hate them- stop forcing us!! hehe- oh i'm aussie by the way *grin*

havent read Garth Nix either- though he has been recommended severl times, will add to my 'to read' list- which is the best?
