Ok, a very long time ago I read a book called Iron Brand. At least that's what I think it was called.

It was the first book in a trilogy or series I believe and it was about three brothers who inherit or acquire three swords. The youngest brother gets the sword called Iron brand and during the story he gets transported to another place/dimension/time/world because he has to learn to use the sword and there isn't time for him to learn if he stays where he is.

The library that had Iron brand didn't have the rest of the books and it still bugs me after all these years that I've never been able to find the rest. I've checked amazon, barnes and noble, and google and it draws a blank. Does it ring a bell for anyone?

Daelish, I believe the author was John Morressy.
It's been a long, long time since I've read them but I did a search on his name and found these books that might be part of the series you're talking about:

"Ironbrand"
"Graymantle"
"Kingsbane"
"Time of the Annihilator"

I hope that helps!

That's the ticket! Ugh, how annoying that the search came up blank because of an errant space in the title, bleh.

Thanks Rogue!
