That didn't really surprise me all that much, the Ramen and the Haruchai have had a strained relationship all along, what with their love of the Ranyhyn.

Any thoughts on the mahdoubt? I may very well be butchering her name.

No Particular thoughts on her, I do definitely wonder about her, I don't think she's a throw away character though, I think there is definietly something up with her. She seems to be the only "Land Servant" around.

We seem to have half-hands running rampant in this book. Copnsidering the Falls and all, I wonder if Covenant actually will end up turning out to be Berek?

I'm finally getting around to reading Gildenfire, it's actually a great followup, considering the change in the Haruchai in "Runes". For the most part, the Haruchai are acting like Haruchai personality wise, but, their philosophy has become twisted. I wonder if the "Voice of the Masters" is an agent of Despite?

The Ranyhyn have a much deeper role than I picked up in the Original Trilogies. I guess we don't need to go to Andelain to see Covenant, eh? I wonder why the Mahdoubt distrusts him? Perhaps he's liable to interfere with Linden making the right decision? And why did he also warn her not to trust him through Anele? Is it not really him?

When I first found out the Staff was missing, and there was so much talk about Elohim running around, and a great skurj, I at first theorized that somehow the staff had broken apart, and Vain and Findail were no longer making up the staff

I read somewhere else that Donaldson said there is no connection between Anele and Elena, even though the names are backwards to each other. That doesn't really seem like his style, anyway, so I'm glad to hear it.

Man, what an imagination. How he comes up with this!

Gosh, ya know, I never noticed that.
