I got this for Christmas and, since both TV's were taken, I watched it in the living room on my new portable DVD player.

My parents felt bad about all of those countless hours going from my brother's college to home to my sister's college to home. 2 hours to ISU and 2 1/2 to Purdue. Now I actually have something to do!

But I must say that Spiderman 2 is by far better when watched a second time.

As an intimate fan of the spider-man comics I definately LOVED both the movies. Both movies were well thought out and told, the story of spiderman from start to finish is ultimately too long to fit into 2 hours of material. The writers/director did a 5star job here, the second movie might seem a bit rushed (considering peters sudden loss of powers)but this concept is no where near new to fans of the comic. The best thing about the second movie (for me) was the end. When Harry finds his fathers GreenGoblin gear, and swears (again) to avenge his father at the cost of Spider-mans life, I wanted to jump up and scream "Hell Yeah!". But I didnt I just sat there with my wife and cried. I guess I have an almost disgusting attachment to Spider-man, my father used spider-man comics to help get me into reading when i was in kindergarten and first grades. Havent stopped reading or collecting them since :)

So if I were to review this movie I'd have given it 5 stars, but I would have tagged it "A FanBoy Must-See!"

I wonder if they're going to tie in the mutant spider monster part into his sudden loss of powers, which harloded the man-spider in the tv show? That would be awsome! Right when he needs it the most, Harry btraying him and now taking his father's place; MJ exposed now to Harry; now Peter must face his most deadly advesary, his own inner demons, literally!

Any ideas on this theory?

Hmm. You mean that 4-armed spider-man creature? I remember him! :D I thought it was really good. I'm not sure the symbolism would translate to the big screen however. You know, I can't wait until they put Venom into a Spidey flick! I've been waiting to see that sense I was 13.. With today's FX it could be really great.

ever since terminator 2 all ive wanted was a Spiderman movie with Venom. Theyve mentioned Eddie Brock in the movies but they wont have Venom in a movie, if theyre gonna get it right that would entail writing at least a part about the "secret wars" where peter got the suit to begin with. I think alot of people would be upset if the suit originated from a failed spaceshuttle mission as it did in the cartoon. God I hated that episode of the cartoon, its a freakin cartoon they coulda made a prologue about secret wars and that woulda been more in continuity with the comics.

Venom's suit came from a UFO?? Yeah, they could have done better ...

I figure we're bound to see Venom before they're finished with the series. The problem with using a Secret Wars prologue is the fact that the film rights to Marvel's characters are scattered across several studios (Fox has X-Men and FF, Sony has Spidey, etc.). DC, on the other hand, all falls under WB.

If a prologue of heroes were to be used, the likenesses for any non-Sony owned characters would probably have to be pretty vague.

They could tweak it to make it good.

Well, Venom was a symbiote suit who came from some rocks from space that were brought back to Earth. When they entered the atmosphere it attacked and downed the space shuttle. Spidey came in and saved everyone, but was blamed for the crash because of Brock.

Another villain I want to see is The Scorpion. He was awesome! But I'm unsure if they could pull off his origen now that they got J.J. to admit he likes Spiderman. They probably could, but it won't show the same impact. Maybe they could have Venom and then keep the crash cause unresolved or have him still believe that Spidey was the cause. That could bring him into to the proper mood for him to create The Scorpion.

I also want to see Mysterio and The Lizard.

well they did good job at forshadowing the lizard and GG2 (harry). Doc conners was in spiderman2 remember? He was even missing his arm . . . .

then theres the mention of Harry finding his dads GG gear.

The next movie is gonna be Spiderman vs GG and Lizard.

Excellent, both are very strong characters with lots of great history to draw on story-wise.

Looking forward to that, my friends.

Yes. But I'm thinking it may be a bit eraly yet for villainous duos. My thoughts were that it would be a while 'till they get to those. I was thinking after a whole story arc dealing with all of the aforementioned villains then they might have a duo. The Lizard would be good to match up, others as well. The Vulture would team up well with the Lizard, wouldn't you think?

Yeah I think the Lizard will likely be used soon. Ah yeah, the Vulture ... I always thought he was rather silly -- an old bald man in a green bird suit!

You know this is pretty strange: I am not used to actually LOOKING FOWARD to sequals! :D
