Anyone remember seeing this movie. I know it's been available on VHS for some time but anyone know if it's actualy possible to buy it on DVD.

It's been a long time since I've seen this movie. But I am a big fan of Flash Gordon. I actualy have on tape (got it from the TV) 2 complete serials from the 40's with Buster Crabee (I think that's how you spell his name).

Anyone else think it might be time to bring back this old scifi hero in a new version. Think what it might look like if done by a proper director and with a proper screenplay.

But the way things are, it might just be a FX movie with no real substance to it.

Still I wish they would bring back Flash in the 21st century

I did see that movie. Sad to say I saw it in the theaters. I don't know if it's on DVD, but think it is. You should google it under Flash Gordon DVD. That should tell you if it is...
The actor was Buster Crabbe from the early Flash.

The 1980 movie is available on DVD. I rented it once. Unfortunately, there weren't too many extras on it.

Yes, it has been released on DVD. Amazon.Com, doesn't have any, but, Amazon Market Place has them starting at $34.00 (Ugh). So you may want to check out Ebay.

I have the VHS copy, it's a great cheezy flick. I'm not sure I would want Flash Gordon remade today. I think Flash Gordon is meant to be Cheesy, and I'm not sure that they would keep the spirit of it today.

Wasn't that a porn flick?

My brother is actually having a "Flash Gordan" night at his dorm. They rent a bunch of the old episodes and the movie as well.

This is in the stead of their "Awsomely Bad Horror Movie" night/ "80's Cartoon" Night.

Uh, no. It was a 1980 British flick. The Porn movie, (I believe is from the 70s?) was called Flesh Gordon.

There was 2 Flesh Gordon movies I think, one from 1974 the other from 1981-82.

They are bad, even for porn flick.

One was Flesh Gordon and the other is Flesh Gordon vs The Galactic Cheerleaders I think

I was really into Flash Gordon as a kid. I loved the animated movies. I had a lizard woman action figure. It was around that Flash Gordon revivial in the 80's. The movie was rather bad. It is clear that Flash is over dubbed. Ming on the other had was one of the few good actors in that movie. It is a shame he had such a bad script.

I sort of guess you might be Neurolanis :-)

Just thought I would add the info for Flesh Gordon if anyone was wondering with it was. I do admit seeing both of them (you have to spend free time as best you can when at university) :-)
As porn flicks goes these two have to be the worst ever made and that is really saying a lot if you ask me.

Until next time

I think that Roper ranked it, Flesh Gordan, among the greatest Porn Movie Names based off of a legitamit movie title. Saving Ryan's Privates was another he put up there. I'm going to look for the books he says that in. It's around here somewhere.

I watched this for the first time ever in mid week. That movie is brilliant, it's the music that really helps put it across.

*Flash, he saved everyone of us.
