7. The Last Stand of Tony Montana (Scarface)
He died, yea, but he didn't go without a fight.....and about a ton of coke!!

8. Jackie Chan vs. The Guy With The Crazy Legs (The Legend of the Drunken Master)
Come on now....how the hell did he move his legs like that?

I seen Return of the King not too long ago and, while impressive, i was not as awed by Pellenor as i was by Helm's deep. I'll admit i've never read the books but that shouldn't matter because the movie should be able to stand alone, so i guess i just have different tastes.
What i really didn't like about it was it didn't really give you a feel for the plight an feelings of the everyman foot soldier and instead focused on the heroes. With Helm's Deep, however, all i could think about when the goblins begin to cross that bridge was 'It'd suck to be in that castle!"
I liked the Battle of Fredericksberg in Cold Mountain. It was informative and very pleasing to watch. I especially liked the indian confederate soldier using Bayonets as javelin's.

The battle between Luke and Darthy in SW: the Return of the Jedi. The power...

The Shoot Out at the OK Corral in "Tombstone." Over-done, historically speaking, but nice.

The shoot out at the end of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". Yeah!

Shoot out at the end of 'Way of the Gun'. Better, i think, than Open Range's. I wrote a movie review for 'Open Range' for the school paper and in it i said it was 'WotG's dialed to 11. Not that it means it is a better gunfight, just bigger and longer. I liked how it began but hated how it ended. Oh, and the movie had no point.

The final battle scene in Hearts and Armour. I don't know man, there's just something about that movie.

Yoda vs. Count Dooku in Star Wars Episode Two...Who knew that crazy little muppet could roll like that! ;-])

Uma Thurman vs. the Crazy 88's from Kill Bill Vol 1. Or the fight scene between Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah in Kill Bill Vol. 2. Actually, any fight scene from Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2.

Lung Wei Wang vs. Chia Hui Liu in Five Shaolin Masters...nuff said.

Jason Statham's gunfight with Matt Schluze's thugs in The Transporter. Excellent nonlethal violence. Good score. Great choreography.

Brad Pitt's boxing match in Snatch. Excellent camera work by Guy Ritchie. Not to mention Pitt's character of Mickey had that awesome hook and spoke like he was half in the bag the entire time.

John Wayne vs. Robert Duvall in the opening gunfight of True Grit. "Fill your hands, you son of a..."

And to end with, one of my favorites...it's not a gunfight, but it's one smeg of a battle...John Wayne vs. Maureen O'Hara at the end of McClintock! ;-])

Still thinking about this....a work in progress. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Best Fight Scenes in Descending Order (very best is #1):

#1. Saving Private Ryan: The landing at Omaha Beach. [That was real!]

#2. Unforgiven: William Munny single handedly kills Little Bill & his men in the saloon as pay backs for unjustly killing his best friend, Ned.

#3. Kill Bill: Black Mamba (a.k.a. The Bride) fights Copperhead (a.k.a Vernita Green) in Vernita's suburban home just before her little daughter arrives home from elementary school.

#4. Incredible Hulk - The Movie: The Hulk is attacked by 3 genetically modified uber dogs, cluster bombs, tank cannon fire, Apache Hellfire helicopters, F-16 jet fighters, his mutant father and a nuke bomb.

#5. Matrix II: Fight scene inside the speeding Cadillac between the albino twin and Trinity during the freeway chase sequence.

#6. Star Wars Episode V: Skywalker vs. Vader light saber dual.
