Scifi and Fantasy Forum: Movies: Chronicles of narnia
Chronicles of narniaWe have moved to new forum software and posting here is closed!
i heard a rumor that they are going to make movies for all stories from the chronicles of narnia, can anyone confirm this?
I heard the same rumour! According to narnia.com they're starting with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe... There isn't really any other info as yet though, except the name of the director: Andrew Adamson, apparantly he made Shrek.
oh wow...where did you hear this? I'm one of those sad cases who has read all the Narnia books every year for years..........wonder why they would start with The Lion... when The Emperors Nephew is first chronologically? I suppose it could be because The Lion.. was written first...??
I am a huge Narnia fan and am reading the novels now, so I went on the Narnia website and heard the same thing that they were making new Narnia movies, but I believe that they can't do any better then the first Narnia movies back in the 80's. All they can do is make the special effects better but basically they will be the same story. So I think that they should not make new Narnia movies and just update the old ones.
Narnia > Harry Potter!
Um, guys...
I herad they are going to be made in good old New Zealand....
Production due to start in July according to a local paper we get in West Auckland NZ....
Does anyone know how one would find out how to get a part in the movie "the Lion the witch and the Wordorbe"?
I have a feeling that the speaking parts are already filled, and that most of the "extras" parts will be digital. However, what I'd suggest is that you find out who the producers of the movie will be (which movie studio) and then contact them by email. Also, if you wish to be in a movie as more than an extra, you will need to become a member of SAG, unless, of course, you're European (in which case I don't know if it's such a requirement).
You don't necessarily have to be a member of SAG, depending on several factors, but the likelihood is that you do. Also, even for SAG, I don't think you have to be a member to be a stand-in, which can sometimes (on rare occasions) lead to a role and is good money even if it doesn't.
One of the places they will be doing work is west Auckland, (As far as I know).....

Hi Parallax,
Information about illegal downloads may not be discussed here.
i have recived lots of answers like that one. and its kinda obvius anyway.. thanks (but there is always the the e-mail service =D) i will find them -_-d
If they make these Narnia movies they better be good, not just some kid stuff. It would horribly ruin it's reputation, like Harry Potter. If the Director and Producers of this movie are smart enough, they should make it a serious movie, with good CGI. I hope it turns out well.
Does anyone know if they're going to make *all* the movies? So far, I've only heard (from various websites such as CNN and NPR) about the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. My favorites were always the Horse and His Boy and the Last Battle, bothof which were never made. I would love to see my two favs done, properly! So, does anyone know if they're going to do ALL of them, or follow the original formula and only do LWW, Prince Caspian, Dawn Treader, and Silver Chair? Please let me know!
thats a book this is movies

Hey gang. Long time... I have returned from an extended detox from the world of the web... they tell me it is a slippery slope. While I was analog, I read this book and I am looking forward to the move....
Here's some more cool stuff for anyone who is interested in what's going on, fresh from my bookmarks list:
